Player CV

Build a player's profile and reel, then publish it publicly with the family's consent on record.

On this page

A Player CV is a profile the club builds for one player: identity, physical data, playing history, a reel of tagged clips and, if you want, education and references. It is delivered as a link — the player, their family or a scout needs no account to open it. Player CV is included from Solo up; see plans and pricing.

Removing the code asks who authorised the CV before the link opens to anyone with the URL

Building a CV

Open a player from your roster — players live with your clubs and teams, see Players and clubs — and go to the CV tab. Fill in what you want to show and save. The reel is built from clips where the player is tagged, and you can split it into sections by skill so a scout skims rather than watches one long cut.

The name, photo, year of birth, position and shirt number come from the player's roster row. The CV cannot turn those off; to change them, edit the player.

Until you publish, the CV is only reachable through its share link, and that link asks for a passcode before anything loads. Click Create and copy, send the link and the code to whoever should see it, and use Preview to open it the way they will.

Publishing it openly

Removing the passcode makes the page open to anyone who has the URL. Because most rostered players are minors, cliply will not do that without a record of who authorised it. Only an owner or admin can publish.

Save the CV first

A CV has to be saved, and its link created, before it can be published.

Remove the code

Turn off Require a code. cliply lists what anyone with the URL will see and asks for the authorisation details.

Record who authorised it

Enter the full name of the person who authorised it, their relation to the player — parent, legal guardian, or the player themselves if they are an adult — how they said yes (a signed form, a WhatsApp message, an email), and the date. The date cannot be in the future.

Confirm

Click Remove the code. The CV is now public, and the record is kept with it: who authorised it, their relation, the date and the evidence.

That record is the only way to publish — there is no publish button without it. A CV published before cliply asked for this shows a note saying so; turn the code back on and publish again to record the authorisation properly.

What the public page shows

The public page shows the player's name, photo, year of birth only, position and shirt number, plus the reel clips and the action counts — how many clips each tag has, each one linking to the clips behind it. The action counts come from the publishing club's own tagging, and you can switch them off per reel with Show action counts.

The player's email and WhatsApp number appear only if you turned on Show email or Show WhatsApp for that CV, which are off by default. For a minor, use the representative field instead: a parent or agent who takes enquiries. Turning a contact on while the link is open asks you to confirm first.

Taking it back

You can switch the passcode back on at any time. Unpublishing keeps the passcode link: the code stays the same, so the people you already sent it to can still open the CV, and everyone else is shut out. You can also pause the link, generate a new code, or delete the link — anyone holding the old URL loses access immediately.

A lapsed plan takes the public page down

Publishing needs a plan that includes Player CV. If your plan lapses or drops below Solo, the public page stops opening. Pulling a CV back to a passcode never needs a plan.
