What the bell in the top bar shows you, and how read and unread work.

A bell icon lives in the top bar of your dashboard. It turns pink when there's something new for you.
What shows up
Click the bell to open your feed. Two kinds of things appear there:
- News from cliply — announcements and new releases, shared with everyone or with your organization.
- Notices for you — things that happened in your own work, like a clip export finishing.
Notices tied to an organization show up no matter which organization you're currently in. Clicking one automatically switches you into that organization before taking you to the link.
Read and unread
News and notices behave differently once you've seen them:
- News (announcements, new releases) counts as read the moment it's visible in your open feed. It stops counting toward the bell, though it keeps its "new" mark until you close and reopen the feed.
- Notices that ask you to do something — like "your clips are ready" — stay unread until you actually click them and follow the link.
Use Mark all as read at the top of the feed to clear everything at once, or hover a row and click the × to dismiss just that one.
Notifications older than 60 days quietly leave your feed on their own — there's nothing to clean up.
Clip export notices
When an export you asked for finishes, the bell tells you as soon as it's ready and stays lit until you open it. You'll still get the usual email too, so you won't miss it either way. Both open the Exports page with that job already expanded, so the files are right there.
If an export fails for good, you get the same pair — bell and email — saying so and confirming the credits were returned. The row on the Exports page explains what went wrong and offers Run again.
