Manage your subscription

Upgrade, downgrade, cancel or update billing details.

On this page

Subscription management in cliply is self-service. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel from the Subscription tab in your organization settings at any time. Only organization owners and admins can make billing changes.

The Subscription tab showing the current plan and management options

View your current plan

Open your organization's Settings and click the Subscription tab. You will see:

  • Your active plan on a highlighted plate, with its status and the next renewal date (or how long your access runs)
  • Buttons to Change plan, Manage billing and Cancel (owners and admins only)
  • Your recent invoices with a link to each receipt
  • A compact grid at the bottom with the other plans — including Enterprise, which goes through sales

Team-managed plans

Some organizations have their plan set up by the cliply team directly instead of through Stripe — for example, if you pay by bank transfer or invoice, or you were given a complimentary period. These show up in the Subscription tab as team-managed, shown one of two ways:

  • Badged Gifted — a complimentary period.
  • An "access until" date — a real paid term arranged directly with the cliply team.

Because there's no Stripe subscription behind a team-managed plan, you won't see self-serve Modify plan, Cancel, or Manage billing buttons — there's nothing for them to manage. To change or renew a team-managed plan, contact support.

Renewal reminders

If your team-managed plan has an access-until date, cliply shows an automatic "renewal ending soon" notice starting 14 days before the term expires, so you have time to reach out before access changes.

Upgrade your plan

Open Subscription settings

Go to Organization Settings > Subscription.

Select a new plan

Click Upgrade or Change plan. The plan comparison table shows what each plan includes.

Complete checkout

You are taken to a Stripe checkout page. Enter your payment details if this is your first paid plan.

Upgrade takes effect immediately

After checkout completes you are on the new plan. Features that were locked become available right away. Prorated charges or credits for the remaining period are handled by Stripe.

Downgrade your plan

To move to a lower plan, click Change plan in the Subscription tab and select the plan you want. The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access to your current plan's features until then.

If the lower plan has fewer member slots, you may need to remove members first. The system will warn you if your organization is over the new plan's member limit.

Cancel your subscription

To cancel, click Cancel subscription in the Subscription tab. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Until then, you keep full access. After the billing period ends, your organization moves to the Free plan.

Your data is not deleted when you cancel — projects, clips, and footage remain intact. Cloud-stored video files remain accessible as long as the organization exists.

Update payment details

Click Manage Billing in the Subscription tab to open the Stripe customer portal. From there you can:

  • Update your credit card
  • Download past invoices
  • Change your billing email

Grace period for failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, your organization enters a 7-day grace period with full access. You will receive an email with a link to update your payment method. If payment is not resolved within the grace period, the organization moves to the Free plan until billing is updated.

Yearly plans

Yearly subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment and save compared to monthly billing. If you cancel a yearly plan mid-year, no prorated refund is issued — access continues until the annual period ends.

Trial period

All paid plans include a 14-day free trial. You will not be charged until the trial ends. You can cancel during the trial without being billed.
