Collections and playlists
Build shareable collections and lightweight, video-scoped playlists.

cliply gives you two different ways to put clips in a specific order — collections and playlists. They sound similar and people mix them up, but they're built for different jobs.
A collection is an org-level, shareable, ordered sequence of clips that can pull from any video across your organization. It has its own page and reuses the same Analyze/View workbench chrome as a single video.
A playlist is a lightweight, video-scoped queue that lives inside one video's workbench. It isn't an org-wide object, but its clips can still go out as a share link from that video.
Use collections for anything that spans matches — a review, or a scouting reel on your next opponent built from their last few games — and to share it. Use playlists to control the order you work through clips inside a single video.
Collections
A collection plays through your curated clip sequence in the same workbench you already know — Analyze, View, Share, and Stats modes all carry over, just pointed at your reel instead of one video's timeline.
Creating a collection
Select clips
From any clip list — inside a project or another collection — select the clips you want.
Add to collection
Choose Add to collection and pick a new or existing collection. You can also do this one clip at a time with the hotkey \: it sends the current clip (or your selection) to your last-used collection, and the confirmation has a Change button that opens the picker so you can choose a different one.
Reordering
Drag a clip to a new position, or use the Move up / Move down buttons — either way sets the exact playback order.
Playback controls
- Play all — plays every clip in the collection back to back.
- Autoplay on/off — on advances automatically to the next clip; off pauses after each one so you can discuss it before moving on.
- Loop on/off — repeats the collection once it reaches the end.
Choosing which copy of a video plays
A video can carry several copies — a YouTube or Vimeo link, an upload in the cloud, a file on this computer. By default the collection plays the video's stored source. To use a different copy in this reel only, open Sources in the collection header and pick a lane per video: Follow video, one of its attached copies, or Local copy. The choice is saved with the collection and never touches the video itself, so the workspace and your other collections keep playing what they did.
A local copy lives only in the browser where you linked it. On another computer the collection falls back to the video's other copies, and people watching a share link never see it.
Everything else still works
Reactions, the antagonist view toggle, and a linked tactics-board animations panel all work inside a collection exactly like they do in a single video. See Tactics board and Decks & catalog for details on antagonist pairing.

Sharing
Share the whole collection, or select a subset of its clips and choose Share selected to hand-pick exactly what goes out — both routes use the same Share drawer as a single video. See Share links.
Playlists
A playlist is a much lighter object: an ordered queue scoped to one video, living in the Lists tab of that video's workbench rail. It isn't an org-wide object — it stays in the video it was created in.
Use a playlist when you want to control the order you export or review clips within a single video, without setting up a full collection.
To share a playlist's clips, create a share link from that video and, under What to share, pick Playlist and the playlist: the link plays its clips in the playlist's order. See Share links.
Send a clip to a playlist with the hotkey ⇧\: it adds it to your last-used playlist for this video, and the confirmation's Change button opens the picker to choose a different playlist.
Playlists are fully editable offline in the desktop app too — create, rename, reorder, change the clip sort mode, add or remove clips, and use the ⇧\ hotkey and pickers exactly as above. Changes sync to the cloud on your next push.
