Broady, your in-app assistant

Ask how cliply works or what happened in the match you have open, and get answers built from the help center and your tags.

On this page

Broady is cliply's mascot — a retro TV with a test-pattern face — and your assistant inside the app. Ask him how to do something and he answers from this help center. Open a match and ask about it, and he answers from the match's tags, with clips you can play in one tap.

Rolling out gradually

Broady rolls out per organization — contact support to ask about turning it on for yours. Questions about a match need the Club plan (AI included) or a purchased credit pack.

Opening Broady

  • Broady at the edge — on every organization page of the dashboard his antenna pokes up from the bottom edge, on the right. Hover and he rises; tap him to open the panel.
  • The command palette — press ⌘K, type your question and pick the first row, Ask Broady: "…".
  • The match report — in the workbench, open the … menu and select AI match analysis. It opens the report view inside Broady.

Press Esc to close the panel. On a phone it takes the whole screen.

When you open a match, after a moment Broady may show a one-time bubble such as "I noticed 3 strong changes against the last 5 matches", with a link to see them.

The three views

Home

Home opens with Signal's on. If a match is open in the workbench, you see:

  • Match report — opens the AI match report.
  • Broady noticed — the facts of this match that moved the most. Tap one to ask Broady about it.
  • More reports — Team trend opens the trend report (see below); Opponent dossier and Player report are marked Coming soon.

Outside a match, Home explains that you need to open one for questions about data. It also offers a few suggested questions to start.

Chat

Type a question. Broady works out on his own what kind it is, and shows the steps he took — for example "Searched the help for …", "Read the match's facts" or "Filtered clips: …".

Report

The AI match report, the same one that lives in the workbench … menu. See below.

Help questions and match questions

A help answer ends with Sources: links to the help sections he used. A match answer shows the facts behind it with their value and how it compares with your team's recent average, plus a list of clips. Tap a clip to play it on the workbench stage, or select Play all.

If you don't have the AI plan or a credit pack, a match question comes back with an upgrade notice instead of an answer. Everyone can ask, including the read-only Viewer role. You can send up to 20 questions per minute.

What "Broady noticed" means

Broady compares the match you have open with your team's last five tagged matches. The facts that moved 25% or more against that history are listed in Broady noticed. It's computed straight from your tags — no AI and no credits.

The report inside Broady

The report works as it always has and still spends credits as before. Two things are new in Broady:

  • Last report's focuses — when a previous match of the same team has a report, the new report opens with its three training focuses, each measured again on this match: Improved, Did not improve or Changed.
  • Ask Broady about this — every finding has this button. It starts a chat about that finding.

The team trend

Team trend, under More reports on Home, turns the last matches of the open match's team into one report: the open match plus up to five earlier tagged matches of the same team, dated on or before it, that you can open. It reads like the match report — findings, a comparison, three training focuses with a number to check next match, limits — but across the window: what has been rising, falling or stable, and how the latest match did against the average of the earlier ones. Under the report, Match by match shows the most used tags with their value in every match of the window, oldest first. Evidence chips play the open match's clips.

It is written by the AI from facts computed from your tags, like the match report, and spends credits the same way. It needs at least one other tagged match of the team; until then Broady says so. Regenerate rewrites it after you tag more.

When Broady has no answer

Broady never invents. Every how-to comes from a help section he found, and every number from a fact computed from your tags. When neither has the answer, he says there is no signal and offers Send to support, which opens the support form with your question already filled in.

Limits

  • Broady only sees the match you have open — and, for the trend, that team's earlier matches.
  • He reads tags only, never the footage: if something isn't tagged, he can't know it.
  • Match questions need the Club plan or a credit pack.
