Account settings control your personal profile and security — things that belong to you as an individual user, not to a specific organization. Find them at the user icon or your name in the top navigation.

Update your name or photo
Open Account settings from the navigation bar. On the Profile tab, edit your display name and upload a profile photo. Changes save immediately.
Change your email address
On the Profile tab, enter a new email address and save. A confirmation link is sent to the new address. Your email address does not change until you click the link. If you do not receive the confirmation email, check your spam folder.
Product news emails
On the Profile tab, the Product news switch controls whether we email you when a new feature ships. Turn it off and those emails stop; turn it back on whenever you want.
Every product-news email also carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, so you can opt out straight from your inbox without signing in — and your email client's own "Unsubscribe" button works too.
Account, billing and security emails — invitations, receipts, password resets, share notifications — are not affected by this switch. Those are part of running your account and are always sent.
Change your password
On the Security tab, enter your current password and then your new password (minimum 8 characters). If you do not know your current password, sign out and use the "Forgot password" link on the sign-in page.
Two-factor authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication adds a second step to sign-in using a TOTP app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, and similar apps are all compatible).
Open Security settings
Go to Account settings > Security and find the two-factor authentication section.
Scan the QR code
Open your TOTP app and scan the QR code shown on screen. If you cannot scan it, use the manual setup code instead.
Verify and save backup codes
Enter a code from your app to confirm it is working. cliply generates a set of single-use backup codes — download or print them now and store them safely. These are the only way to recover your account if you lose access to your TOTP app.
2FA is active
On your next sign-in after this session, you will be prompted for a one-time code after entering your password.
Connected accounts
If you signed up with Google, your Google account is connected automatically. If you signed up with email and want to add Google sign-in, you can link your Google account from Security settings.
You can't unlink your only remaining sign-in method — cliply blocks this so you can't accidentally lock yourself out of your account. If you want to switch from Google to a password (or the other way around), set up the new sign-in method first, then unlink the old one.
Changing your email does not take effect immediately. Sign in with your old email until you click the confirmation link in the email sent to the new address.
Sessions
The Sessions tab lists every device and browser currently signed in to your account, with your current session pinned at the top so you always know which one you're using.
If you spot a session you don't recognize, or you signed in on a shared or public computer and forgot to sign out, click Revoke next to that session to sign it out remotely. You can't revoke your current session from this list — use Sign out instead.
Pair the desktop app
When you set up cliply's desktop app, it shows a short pairing code along with a link (or QR code) that opens a pairing page in the web app. Open that page while signed in and enter the code to link the desktop install to your web account.
Language isn't set on this page. Switch between English and Spanish from the avatar menu in the bottom-left of the dashboard sidebar, next to the theme toggle and sign out.
