AI in cliply
Every AI feature in cliply in one place: what each one does, where to find it, what it reads and what it costs.
On this page
cliply uses AI in several features, and almost all of them read your tagging: the tags, times, zones, players and notes you logged. Only two look at the picture: Detect plays, which analyzes the video, and the drawing AI tools, which work on the frame on screen inside your browser.
Every feature
| Feature | What it does | Where it is | What it reads | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Broady | Answers how to do something in cliply and questions about the open match | The antenna at the bottom-right edge, or ⌘K | The help center and the match's tags | Help is free; 20 credits per match question |
| AI match analysis | A report with findings, the comparison with your recent matches and three coaching focuses, with clips as evidence | Workbench: the AI analysis chip or the … menu → AI | The match's tags | Credits by the length of the report |
| Team trend | A team's recent matches in one report: what is rising, falling or holding | Broady → Home → More reports | The tags of up to six matches | Credits, like the report |
| Detect plays | Looks for plays in the video and proposes clips for you to review | Workbench: … menu → AI → Detect plays (AI) | The video | Credits per analyzed minute; shown before you confirm |
| Voice tagging | Turns what you say into a clip with its tag, zone or player | The mic strip above the deck | Your voice and your tag catalog | ~5 credits per phrase; a bare tag name is free in Chrome and Edge |
| Smart lists | Builds a clip filter from a phrase | Smart lists → describe it in a phrase | Your phrase | Most resolve without AI; the result says when AI was used |
| AI tools | Silhouette, mark and blur players while drawing | Draw → AI tools | The frame on screen, in your browser | No credits |
Broady, the analysis, the trend, Detect plays and voice tagging are turned on gradually per organization. If you don't see one, contact support.
Finding an analysis you already generated
An AI match analysis is saved with the video. To get back to it:
- In the workbench, the AI analysis chip appears next to the tools when the match has one. In the … menu, the entry reads View AI match analysis when it exists and Generate AI match analysis when it doesn't yet.
- In the video list, a sparkle icon beside the name or on the poster marks the matches that have one. In the video's menu, View AI match analysis opens the workbench with the analysis showing.
To update it after tagging more, choose Regenerate inside the analysis.
Three things not to mix up
| What it is | Where it is | |
|---|---|---|
| AI match analysis | The report the AI writes from your tags | Workbench: the AI analysis chip or the … menu → AI |
| Match document | A PDF or PNG you attach yourself, such as the official match sheet | Attached when editing the video; opened with View match document (⌥I) |
| Match stats | The numbers computed from your clips and events, with no AI | … menu → Stats. See Video analytics |
What the AI doesn't do
- It doesn't make up numbers: every figure comes from your tags or from what it detected in the video, and anything it can't back up is dropped.
- It doesn't see what you didn't tag, except in Detect plays.
- It never appears in share links: the analysis is for your coaching staff.
